This fruit source is the 9-year-old organically farmed Sonoma Stage vineyard, located at the southern tip of the Sonoma Coast Appellation.
This vineyard is organically farmed and planted to the heritage clones of Swan and Calera. The grapes were hand-harvested, de-stemmed and transferred to open top fermenters.
With manual daily punch-downs the grapes went through alcoholic and malolactic fermentation using native yeasts. The wine was aged in French oak barrels, 35-40% of which were new, for 11 months.
